The article analyzes the dignity of a person in secular and Orthodox aspects. authors argue that every phenomenon material spiritual world is objectively inherent internal contradictions, so it not an exception idea human religious contexts. research methods are comprehensive based on philosophical, anthropological philosophical cultural analysis dimensions. Discussion. concepts «secular» (universal) «Christian» morality characterized distinguished. latter comes from supernatural source, moral law, basis which belief immortality spirit. Christian provides such norms behavior people biblical commandments observed.The roots universal culture has produced humanistic outlook, within recognized as self -sufficient value, capable asserting his dignity, transforming himself without intervention transcendental super -sensory nature (God). principles regulate people, activities their communities, associations terms universally ideas about good evil, honesty disobedience, dishonesty.
